The centre is located at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources in Nuuk, and is collaborating closely with a number of Danish and international universities and research institutions in a range of research projects.

In 2010 the climate centre established a formal partnership with Centre of Earth and Ocean Sciences (CEOS) at University of Manitoba in Canada.

Furthermore the Centre has a close collaboration with Greenlandic monitory programmes like ASIAQ, DMI, Ice Service, Greenland Ecological Monitoring Network (GEM), Programme for Monitoring of the Greenland Ice Sheet (PROMICE) and monitory activities in Greenland Institute of Natural Resources.

The collaboration at the climate research centre is based on mutual respect and trust, and free exchange of knowledge and data. Consequently all projects have to accept a mutual collaboration agreement.
