Climate simulations

This project will advance regional climate information for Greenland and the surrounding sea. Details in existing climate models are insufficient to allow for reliable assessments of the most likely future changes at the Iocal scale. This is due to the incomplete description of Arctic feed-back processes in models, and to a lack of resolution. Here a new and more complete regional model of the Greenlandic climate system will be developed and provide simulations of future changes at an unprecedented resolution (1-2km) allowing for an end-to-end assessment of climate changes and their impacts over land (including glaciers and the ice sheet), in Iakes and fjords, and open sea to be made at the Climate Research Centre.
