Land ecosystems

This project will collect the existing data on land-based ecosystems in Greenland with the objective of answering how the expected changes in climate will affect terrestrial and limnic ecosystems and their natural resources. Combined with data from two detail studies in west and east Greenland, respectively, we apply up-to-date analytical techniques to quantify the spatio-temporal relationships between previous changes in natural resources, their environment and climate. These will form the basis for implementing predictive models to be simulated under the different climate scenarios. Our project provides the assessment of future performance of land-based natural resources in a warming Arctic.
