New Greenland Climate Research Center

A new Greenland Climate Research Center is going to study the climatic changes and the following consequences for nature and societies in the Arctic.

The Greenland Climate Research Center opens May 1st in Nuuk, the capitol of Greenland, after a grant on 35 mio. Dkr, from the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. Søren Rysgaard, Professor and marine biologist, is director of the new centre, that partly will be placed in connection with the Institute of Natural Resources and the University of Greenland, Ilisimatusarfik.

The centre will employ the director as well as a professor and a number of researchers connected to Greenlandic, Danish or foreign institutions.
