R/V Pâmiut at Qullisat in the Vaigat, 2009

Every summer, The Department of Fish and Shellfish, Greenland Institute of Natural Resources (GINR), carries out a number of standard surveys on an annual basis using an ocean-going research vessel for offshore surveys and R/V Sanna for inshore surveys.

Surveys form the basis of the annual biological assessment on the Greenlandic stock of fish and shellfish. Researchers from both GINR and similar research institutions can apply for GINR to collect samples during the annual surveys.
