2007 – 2009, and possibly more years. Observations of colourringed birds is still relevant after the project period.

Type of ringing

Individually numbered metalrings from Zoologisk Museum, Copenhagen.

The birds also display a combinatiinon of two colour rings registrered in the International Wader Study Group Colour Ringing Register.

In Greenland is used green leg flags between the colour rings on left leg, but sanderlings with another position of the flag are ringed in Europe or Africa.

You will recieve a complete life history from the bird within a week from reporting. If possible please send a photo of the bird from Greenland.
